Here’s my advice on how to add makeup pigments to your look…
Do it, do it, do it!
I am loving the use of colour in makeup for glam looks recently. It is so nice sometimes to see shades other than neutral. Loose pigments used to be my worst nightmare to work with or use on myself because they just went everywhere. Now I have rekindled my love for makeup pigments and you should too. Why? Because they add an extra dimension of glamour to your makeup that can make your eyes pop! The trick to application is to get a good base – sometimes using a glitter primer is necessary as it will hold all of the product in place and using a thin flat brush, the technique is to slowly pack it on.
Now, where to buy them? Well, I have fallen in love with Peaches & Cream makeup pigments and The Bebeautiful Studio. The options are stunning (and pretty much endless), the application is flawless and incredibly pigmented. You’ll be spoilt for choice with either company.
Peaches & Cream do themed makeup pigments such as Space with pigments names like ‘Planet Peach’ and ‘Space Hopper’ or Wild West’s pigments ‘Rootin Tootin’ and ‘Cactus’. I ordered the much talked about ‘Gatsby’ pigment from Peaches & Cream and it is gorgeous, such a stunning champagne colour that will go with everything, the perfect balance of glamour. They also do bundles so that you can save a bit of money, never a bad thing.
The Bebeautiful Studio is also a highly rated pigment brand (among other products) and they do not disappoint. I ordered Galaxy, Banger and Bloom because there was a holiday discount offer on that was too good of a deal to miss. They also do bridal theme pigments with names such as ‘I Do’ which look like they need to be added to my kit. The pigments are just perfect.
